Great and Glorious God, we come before you this morning as
willing yet apprehensive prophets. You bid us to go forth to spread
your good news, yet we hesitate to speak of you. You send us out to
feed your sheep, yet we hang back, enclosed in our safe spaces. You
invite us to shed our earthly treasure and follow you, but we are afraid
to let go. Forgive us, O God, when our trust in you fades and we
find ourselves stuck in our old patterns of playing it safe.
Embolden us with your Spirit and support us by your gentle hands that we
may persevere in speaking your word and living our faith. Amen.……*LORD’S PRAYER
